What is TB500?
TB500 is a research name commonly used for a synthetic analogue associated with the actin-binding region of Thymosin Beta-4. It should not automatically be treated as identical to full-length Thymosin Beta-4. Sequence, termini, purity and formulation must be checked for the sample being studied.
Why is actin biology relevant?
Thymosin Beta-4 research includes the regulation of actin, a structural protein involved in cell shape, movement and intracellular organisation. This has led researchers to examine cell migration, wound models and related repair pathways. The presence of a proposed pathway does not establish a therapeutic effect.
How strong is the evidence?
Evidence is model-specific and includes preclinical work. Researchers should distinguish full-length protein studies from analogue studies and avoid moving conclusions from one sequence to another without supporting data.
TB500 and BPC 157
BPC 157 and TB500 are often discussed together because both appear in recovery research. They have different sequence origins and proposed biology. A blend should be analysed as a blend, with component-specific methods where appropriate; one overall purity number cannot answer every identity question.
Laboratory documentation
Ask for the Certificate of Analysis and review the stated identity, method, result and units. Cambridge Health supplies TB500 research material for laboratory use only. See the TB500 and recovery research article for additional context.

Questions about TB500
Is TB500 the same as Thymosin Beta-4?
No assumption of identity should be made. TB500 is commonly described as an analogue associated with a Thymosin Beta-4 region, while full-length Thymosin Beta-4 is a different sequence.
Can TB500 research be combined with BPC 157 research?
The compounds can be studied together, but their identities and proposed mechanisms remain distinct and should be assessed separately.
What should a researcher request?
Request batch-specific identity and purity documentation and confirm which analytical methods were used.
